GUJRAT: An 18-year-old girl has allegedly shot her younger sister (14) dead after arguments over a TikTok video at village Kariala in the Sara-i-Alamgir Saddar police area.

Reports said Maria Afzal opened fire at her younger sister Saba Afzal after both had a quarrel while making a TikTok video at home.

Police reached the scene and shifted the body to the Civil Hospital where doctors conducted the autopsy before handing over the body to the family. The deceased was laid to rest in the local graveyard.

Police said they had collected the evidence from the scene and launched an investigation.

A murder case has been registered against Maria on the report of Nabeel Afzal, the brother of both the sisters. The suspect has not been arrested yet.

Just four days back on Dec 26, three youngsters were killed as they were making a TikTok video while riding a motorcycle in Khanqah Dogran of district Sheikhupura.

In another incident of murder in Hakla village of Kharian Saddar police, one Zain Ali Qureshi was shot dead and his six years old nephew, Samar Abbas, was injured by the firing of their close kin.

Police said the deceased group had gone to the residence of the suspect party for reconciliation after both the families had had a fight over some domestic issue. Zain along with the other members of his family was assaulted by Husnain and others.

The suspects opened fire at Zain, leaving him and his nephew Samar Abbas critically injured. Zain breathed his last while being shifted to the hospital whereas the condition of his minor nephew was stated to be out of danger.

Police registered a case against the nominated suspects on the report of Shan Ali, the brother of Zain.
