TAXILA: Three persons died while one was injured critically when a trailer rammed into a car on Hakla-D.I. Khan motorway (M-14) near Tarap interchange in the limits of Pindigheb police station on Friday, police and rescue sources said.

According to Police sources, the victims of the accident belonged to Upper Dir and were going from Islamabad to Mianwali in their car.

The deceased were identified as Sher Alam, Naseebullah and Anwar Zaib while Anwar brother of Islam Zaib was injured critically.

The National Highway and Motorway Police shifted the injured and dead to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Pindigheb.

The trailer driver managed to escape from the scene. Police sources while quoting eyewitness and victim blamed fog for the accident.

Pindigheb police have registered a case against the unknown trailer driver and launched further investigation.

Moreover, a man was shot dead over some family dispute in Hazro town of Attock on Friday.

Munsaf Khan reported to police that Ahmed Khan, who is a gunman of a local influential person has shot dead his brother Gull over family dispute and fled.

Later, police arrested the nominated accused besides recovering 222 rifle from his possession which was utilised in the murder.
