In another incident, unidentified assailants shot dead a man in the same village on Friday.

Mohammad Tayyab, brother of the deceased, Tawheed Khan, told the police that assailants opened fire at his brother when he stepped out of his house, leaving him critically injured.

He said the injured was taken to Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. He said they had no enmity with anyone.

The police registered an FIR against unidentified attackers.

Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Tariqullah on Friday imposed the Section 144, banning operations of CNG stations from Jan 5 to 31 so as to improve gas pressure for the household/domestic consumers.
