KARACHI: Former Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNA Najeeb Haroon joined the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan on Saturday.

Mr Haroon, who is also the chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council, was one of the founding members of the PTI.

He was elected MNA from a National Assembly constituency in district Central in the 2018 general elections. He is said to be the highest income tax paying politician in the country.

The MQM-P issued a brief statement on Saturday, stating that the founding member of the PTI and former MNA Mr Haroon joined the party during a meeting with convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, senior leaders Mustafa Kamal and others.
