KHAIRPUR, Feb 26: A man was killed and three others were injured by highwaymen on the National Highway on Saturday night. Some seven armed men embarked a Karachi-bound bus and when it reached near Jhando Mashaikh village, the armed men tried to rob the passengers.

When some passengers offered resistance, the armed men opened fire.

As a result, Mir Khan Jatoi was killed and Imdad Jatoi, Mohammad Bux Shar and Mohammad Essa Jatoi were injured.

Imdad Jatoi was taken to a Sukkur hospital in critical condition and other two injured persons were admitted to a hospital in Kotdiji. The armed men robbed mobile phones, cash and other valuables from passengers and escaped.—BoC
