Crops sprayed with help of drones in Kohat

KOHAT: Agricultural department started on Thursday spraying wheat crops with the help of drones for the first time in the district.

The drones were used with the cooperation of the director of the extension wing of agriculture department, Dr Shakirullah, who inaugurated the spray in Sayyab and Bilitang areas of the district.

The operations were supervised by agriculture officer Mohammad Soheb Khattak and field assistants Masahib Ali and Niaz Mohammad.

Mr Shakirullah said on the occasion that it would be effective if farmers used drones for spraying their crops as it would not only save their time but also expenditure of hiring labourers for the job.

SENTENCE: The district sessions judge, Altafur Rehman, here on Thursday awarded life imprisonment to the killer of a young man in addition to a fine of Rs500,000 to be paid to the victim’s family.

Naseem Gul had nominated Ismail and Imran in the FIR filed under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code in Jarma police station for the murder of his son Waseem Gul on May 10, 2022.

Court sentenced both the accused to life imprisonment after prosecution proved charges against them. Police had arrested Ismail in an operation. However, Imran is still at large and police are making efforts to arrest him.
