SWABI: Four members of a family, including two children, were injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Asota village of Razaar tehsil on Thursday night, Rescue 1122 officials said.

They said a rescue team immediately reached the spot after receiving information and pulled out four injured persons from the debris and shifted them to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. The injured included Niaz Ali, 30, his wife, daughters Ayeza Khan, 5, and Aliza Khan, 3.

The officials said cause of the roof collapse was not known, but the house was in a bad condition.

Meanwhile, the police said on Friday that an ice-drug dealer, who was injured on Thursday, succumbed to his injuries while on way to hospital.

A police press release said the incident occurred near Kunda police post when the drug dealer accompanied by accomplices opened fire on a police party, injuring Assistant Sub-Inspector Aamir Khan and head constable Bahar Ali.

The release said the drug dealer, Yasin of Zaida village, was injured when the police returned the fire, and died on way to hospital.
