DP World’s MoU with JW Holdings

DP World has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan-based conglomerate JW Holdings to explore potential opportunities in Pakistan for the development of special economic zones and other projects, as per a press release.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where DP World Group Chairman and CEO, H.E. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, met with Anwar ul Haq Kakar, Prime Minister of Pakistan. JW Holdings is a diverse conglomerate that operates across various sectors.

UBL’s Ameen Esaar Account

UBL Ameen has signed Memorandums of Understanding with Indus Hospital and Health Network, ChildLife Foundation, The Citizens Foundation and Akhuwat, institutions which are serving humanity in the field of health, infant care, education and employment, respectively, as per a press release.

This collaboration stems from the launch of “UBL Ameen Esaar Account”, which is an Islamic liability product that caters to the banking requirements of consumers as well as contributes to societal welfare.

Bank Alfalah’s rehabilitation initiative

Bank Alfalah reported the highlights of 2023 during phase twoof its comprehensive rehabilitation and rebuilding initiative, which started with immediate rescue and relief in phase one in 2022, as per a press release. The bank joined forces with 24 partners to disburse around Rs1.24bn to address critical sectors such as healthcare, emergency care, housing, education, and livelihoods. Bank Alfalah has embarked on a two-pronged strategy to redevelop communities.

Empowering girls through sports

The National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) and Bank AL Habib have signed a Letter of Interest (LOI) committing to work together and empower women and girls through sport-based human development interventions, according to a press release. Their focus is to mobilise marginalised communities.

NCHR is currently engaged in a project around this theme through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), supported by the High Commission of Canada in Pakistan.

Entravision’s partners with Bitsmedia

Entravision has partnered with Bitsmedia, a Singapore-based technology company known for developing and publishing Muslim Pro, a Muslim lifestyle app, as per a press release. The Global Partnerships division of Entravision has been selected as the exclusive authorised reseller for Muslim Pro in the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan. This collaboration aims to enhance the app’s global reach for advertisers and foster enduring relationships with key partners.
