NAWABSHAH: In an interesting development in Naushahro Feroze, the Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) announced the retirement of their candidates from contesting the general polls in support of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

In a gathering attended by Syed Asghar Ali Shah of the PML-N, Masroor Khan Jatoi and other candidates of the GDA at the MQM’s zonal office of Naushahro Feroze on Wednesday, zonal incharge Aslam Qazi announced their party’s support to the PML-N and GDA for two national and three provincial assembly seats in Naushahro Feroze.

Candidate for NA-205 (Naushahro Feroze-I) Ghulam Rasool retired in favour of Syed Asghar Ali Shah of the PML-Nawaz whereas Rana Imran Rajput in support of GDA’s Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi on NA-206 (Naushahro Feroze-II).

MQM’s Sajjad Hussain retired in favour of GDA’s Shakeel Jalbani on PS-33, Mohammad Usman Khokhar on PS-34 in support to GDA’s Shahnawaz Jatoi whereas candidate for PS-35 retired from the contest for Masroor Ahmed Jatoi of the GDA.
