LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday summoned PTI-Punjab President Dr Yasmin Rashid, former governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema and other suspects for indictment in a May 9 case of attacking Shadman police station after they were supplied the copies of challan (investigation report) by the prosecution.

The police presented the suspects before the court after bringing them from jail.

Others include Senator Ijaz Chaudhry and former provincial minister Mian Mahmoodur Rashid.

Several other suspects released on bail also attended the hearing and received copies of the challan.

Judge Naveed Iqbal directed the police to present the suspects on the next hearing for framing of the charges.

Separately, the judge granted seven-day physical remand of PTI leader Khalid Gujjar to Gulberg police in Askari Tower attack case.

The police produced the leader before the court and stated that the suspect had been identified in an identification parade conducted in jail.

The investigating officer asked the court to allow 14-day physical remand of the suspect for investigation in the case. However, the judge granted the remand for seven days.

Another anti-terrorism court allowed an opportunity to the prosecution for arguments on a bail petition of PTI social media activist Sanam Javed in a May 9 case of torching the party office of the PML-N in Model Town.

The court will resume further hearing on Saturday (tomorrow).
