QUETTA: President of the Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal), Akhtar Mengal has cautioned that a robust public response will follow if their mandate and votes are manipulated.

He accused the local administration of favouring his opponents, emphasising the BNP’s demand for a free, fair, and transparent election on February 8.

During a public meeting in his hometown Wadh, held in connection with his party’s election campaign, where he is also running as a joint candidate of JUI-F and BNP-M, Mr Mengal stated that every party and its people had the right to engage in politics and participate in elections.

Since its inception, BNP-M has prioritised the politics of the people by addressing their issues and wholeheartedly dedicating their efforts to the public.

“We gave voice to the issues of Balochistan in Islamabad by fearlessly presenting the facts to the rulers,” Mr Mengal said, adding that the state has treated Balochs the same way Bengalis were treated.
