GUJRAT: The Gujrat chapter of Muslim Conference, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), has announced supporting the Nawabzada group of the PML-N.

Mirza Yasir Akram, the Gujrat district president of the Muslim Conference, made the announcement at a meeting with Nawabzada Ghazanfar Ali Gul, the PML-N candidate in NA-63 (Jalalpur Jattan-Tanda), and ex-MPA Moin Nawaz Warraich, ‘N’ candidate in PP-30 (Jalalpur Jattan).

Speaking to the participants in Jalalpur Jattan, Mr Akram said the central president of MC and former prime minister of AJ&K, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, had directed the Gujrat chapter to support the PML N’s Nawabzada group candidates for NA-63 and its both PA seats - PP-29 (Tanda-Karianwala) and PP-30.

Thousands of the emigrants from Jammu area, have been settled in Jalalpur Jattan and Tanda-Karianwala localities of NA-63 and they would always play a vital role in the local politics by having a large vote bank in these areas.

Sources said Sardar Attique Ahmed also spoke to Nawabzada Gul over telephone and assured him of his party’s complete support in the polls.

Mr Gul also thanked the MC leadership and termed the decision as his moral victory.
