KARACHI: A minor boy, who was shot and wounded during a violent clash between workers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and Pakistan Peoples Party in New Karachi last week, died during treatment at a hospital on Monday, officials said.

On Feb 3, two boys suffered bullet wounds when some political workers resorted to firing into the air New Karachi’s Sector-11-J.

One of the boys, 11-year-old Abdul Rehman, was under treatment at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he died, said police surgeon Summaiya Syed. She said he suffered extensive damages to his head due to a bullet injury. The police had lodged an FIR on the complaint of a PPP worker and claimed to have taken into custody 30 suspects belonged to both the parties.
