ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) has decided to ensure uninterrupted power supply during elections.

According to a statement, to ensure power continuity and quick rectification of power outage complaintsduring the 2024 general election day, Iesco management has framed a complete work plan.

Teams consisting of senior officers will remain present in the Central Monitoring Control Room, Islamabad, from February 7 to 9, 2024, and will monitor power continuity, early fault rectification on 11 KV feeders, and closely monitor electricity demand and supply available quotas.

“Control rooms have also been established at each operation circle. Officers have been instructed to liaison with field formation round the clock. The ongoing scheduled shutdown for system maintenance from 7 to 9 February 2024 has been cancelled,” it stated.

Chief Executive Officer Iesco Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan and Chief Engineer Operation Muhammad Aslam Khan will directly monitor all operations.
