PESHAWAR: The police claimed to have repulsed a terrorist attack on Miryan police station in Bannu on Tuesday night, making the terrorists to flee the area, officials said.

They said terrorists attacked the police station from two sides, damaging the thermal cameras installed on the walls of the building. The policemen effectively retaliated, forcing the terrorists to flee. No loss of life was reported in the attack.

It merits a mention here that last month the police eliminated a terrorist in Terriram area in the vicinity of the Miryan police station during an operation.

Two policemen were martyred in the operation and two others had sustained injuries.
