RAHIM YAR KHAN: Five persons were injured during a clash between PPP and PML-N workers at a polling station of Chak 171-P in Sadiqabad tehsil.

Reports said that polling process was in progress for NA-174 (Rahim Yar Khan VI) in Chak 171-P when some PPP workers carrying party flags stormed the polling station.

A polling agent of the PPP, Muhammad Ameen, and four others were injured who were later shifted to the THQ Hospital, Sadiqabad.

Another incident of quarrel between two groups took place in Mauza Dhandoo of Khanpur but the matter was settled.

Female voters were seen in large number and there were long queues at some polling booths of main city area at the start of the polling process.

After 3pm, the number of male voters started increasing.

In rural areas, the turnout seemed to be better. Candidates have arranged transport to pick and drop their voters.
