KARACHI: Sindh High Court Chief Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi on Thursday praised the services of Justice Nadeem Akhtar and said that he had disposed of over 15,000 cases during his 12-year tenure as a judge of the high court.
He said this while speaking at a full court reference held in the honour of Justice Akhtar, the outgoing senior puisne judge of the SHC, on the eve of his retirement.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Akhtar talked about his career as the judge. About delay in disposal of civil cases, he was of the view that the procedures about civil litigations had become outdated.
Federal and provincial law officers and representatives of bar associations also spoke and lauded the services of Justice Akhtar for the judiciary.
Justice Akhtar was appointed as the judge of SHC in March 2012.
