Kite sellers arrested

NAROWAL: Sialkot police arrested seven shopkeepers for selling kites and seized 11,930 kites and 748 spindles of chemical string in a crackdown against kite flying.

DPO Hasan Iqbal tasked City Circle DSP Tariq Mahmood with the launch of a grand operation against kite flying. During the crackdown, the Nikapura police seized 2,000 kites and 150 spindles from Ehsanullah, 3,000 kites from Adnan and 4,000 kites and 425 string rolls from Mujahid Ali. The Muradpur police seized 800 kites and 33 rolls from Salman and Sharaft Ali, the Kotwali police 1,125 kites from Anwarul Haq while the Rangpura police seized 925 kites and 180 rolls from Saeedul Hasan.
