LAHORE: An unidentified man allegedly kidnapped a minor boy from Harbanspura area here on Wednesday morning.

A CCTV footage of the incident surfaced later, spotted the young man carrying boy Rehan (4), and taking him to some undisclosed destination.

The kidnap of the boy in broad daylight created panic in the vicinity.

The police lodged a kidnap case on the complaint of his grandfather Mohammad Rasheed.

He said Rehan was playing in the street from where the suspect kidnapped him at around 7am.

A police official said a team is looking into the matter. He said the CCTV cameras of the area are being examined to trace the suspect.

SUICIDE: A young man reportedly died by suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in Nishtar Colony area here on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in Sui Gas Colony where he was employed at a home.

The police said Ali Waqas was a resident of Okara and it seems he ended his life due to financial problems.

The body has been shifted to the city morgue. Further investigation is under way.
