ISLAMABAD: A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a trailer truck in the capital, police said on Thursday.

The deceased, identified as Saeed Kabeer, a resident of Rawalpindi, was going back home to Dhok Chaudhrian on a motorcycle from Islamabad. When he reached the I.J.P. Road, a trailer truck hit him from behind and crushed him under the wheels.

As a result, the motorcyclist sustained critical injuries, while the truck driver escaped, leaving behind the vehicle on scene, police said.

The injured was then shifted to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and a case was registered over the incident at Sabzi Mandi police station against the driver.
