PML-N leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, who won the general elections from Islamabad’s NA-47, has alleged that the PTI’s case before the Islamabad High Court regarding the poll results for NA-46, NA-47 and NA-48 was based on “lies and fraud”.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Chaudhry recalled that the IHC had suspended all three notifications of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the results in those constituencies.

He said that PTI created “propaganda about these across the country” that the IHC decision to suspend the notifications was due to irregularities in the electoral process.

“I want to tell the lies and fraud the PTI candidates on which they had these [notifications] suspended and when the truth came before the IHC and ECP, these notifications were restored,” he said.
