PTI leader Barrister Gohar Khan has clarified that the letter party chief Imran Khan intends to write to the International Monetary Fund would not harm the country and was in the interest of Pakistan.

“We will never do anything that is against the interest of Pakistan […] we will play every role to improve the economy,” he said. “When the letter comes out [in the public], you will see.”

Barrister Gohar further asserted that the PTI would never indulge in any act that would harm the sovereignty of the country. “We will do everything that will improve the rule of law,” he added.

“Any step taken by the PTI will never be against Pakistan’s state, public, government or democracy […] Khan sahib has said this country is ours and its institutions are ours,” Gohar said.

In response to a question, he said the letter would be shared with the public later in the evening.
