Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi has said he didn’t suspend the services of social media website X in the country.
X has been inaccessible since Saturday when former Rawalpindi commissioner Liaquat Chattha held a press conference and accused the chief election commissioner and chief justice of being involved in rigging the Feb 8 general elections. The platform remains sporadically accessible in some cities, with reports from Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi.
Speaking to Dawn.com today, Solangi said internet services across Pakistan are fully functional.
However, when he was asked about X, the minister said: “Internet services and X are two separate things. As a minister, I didn’t suspend X.”
