PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui has said that former premier Imran Khan’s “heroic demand” from the president to not pardon his sentences was “meaningless”.
“Under Article (1)48 of the Constitution, the president cannot do so without the advice of the prime minister,” Siddiqui said in a post on X.
instead of ‘othering’ critics and stifling their voices, government must provide space so that built-up pressures, frustrations can be released in reasonable ways.
