Jamaat-i-Islami has called on political parties to initiate a dialogue on holding free and fair elections in the country.

In a press conference, JI Emir Sirajul Haq said a government formed on “fake mandate” will never be able to solve the problems of poverty, unemployment and inflation in the country.

He also lamented that despite numerous complaints regarding rigging in the Feb 8 elections, the Election Commission of Pakistan had failed to hold any inquiry or investigation.
