The PPP’s Sarfraz Bugti has been elected as the Balochistan chief minister after he secured a total of 41 votes.

National Party chief Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, along with three other MPAs of his party, did not cast a vote in the election.

Ten lawmakers of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) also did not cast votes as they did not attend today’s session.

Meanwhile, the PPP, the PML-N and the Balochistan Awami Party, among others, did take part in today’s election.
