PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub have filed their nomination papers for the office of the prime minister, Radio Pakistan reports.

Ex-premier Shehbaz is the joint candidate of PML-N and PPP while PTI-backed Ayub is the Sunni Ittehad Council’s nominee, the report added.

The secretary of the National Assembly received the nomination papers.
