PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan has said that the PTI’s stance on the alleged involvement of state institutions in politics was that the country should be governed “according to the Constitution”.
Speaking to the media, Khan said his party was “very upset since last night” on a raid on Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s residence.
Acknowledging the PTI’s past political differences with Achakzai, Khan said: “But today, for the rule of law, against rigging, for the people’s rights, for eliminating the establishment’s role from politics, he (Achakzai) has his own importance and need.”
“Politics is the job of politicians. The nation is standing tall and united with its army and institutions. But the PTI has a stance on this, which is the Constitutional stance and on which Achakzai sahib also spoke, that we want to govern this country according to the Constitution,” the PTI leader added.
