QUETTA: Commander 12 Corps Balochistan, Lt Gen Rahat Naseem, has visited the flood-hit areas of Gwadar district to assess the situation and offer support to the affected individuals.

Lt Gen Naseem discussed the challenges faced by the affected population with local authorities and community leaders.

According to officials, the corps commander was briefed on the immediate relief measures undertaken by relief teams to alleviate the suffering of the flood-affected population.

Lt Gen Naseem assured the affected communities of the army’s unwavering support in this difficult time.

With aid teams committed to remaining in the affected areas, timely relief measures will continue to provide assistance and comfort to those dealing with the aftermath of floods.

To address the urgent need for water management in the flood-affected region, the army has expedited the delivery of 17 water pumps from Quetta to Gwadar.

Lt Gen Naseem’s visit symbolised the army’s proactive stance during times of crisis, reaffirming their pledge to stand alongside the citizens of Balochistan, offering support and assistance in times of adversity.

The corps commander’s visit came days after heavy rains caused significant damage in Gwadar, Makran and other parts of Balochistan, disrupting normal life and traffic.
