A PPP delegation led by former president Asif Ali Zardari and chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, state-run Radio Pakistan reports.

The delegation also included Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. The PPP leaders congratulated the premier on assuming office and expressed good wishes.

During the meeting, Zardari assured PM Shehbaz that the PPP would continue to stand with the government for economic stability, development and prosperity.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed PM expressed deep gratitude and thanked the allied parties for supporting him. He also vowed to work day and night for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
