ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has invited UAE investors to invest in Pakistan’s real estate, energy, agriculture, information technology and various other sectors which offer immense business opportunities.

Speaking at the Business Opportunities Conference in Dubai on Tuesday, Ambassador Tirmizi said the Pakistan government deeply encourages business-to-business collaboration among the business community of both Pakistan and UAE.

The conference, held at Habtoor Palace, was attended by more than 100 businessmen from UAE and Pakistan.

“UAE’s investors having rich experiences in construction can avail enormous investment opportunities in Pakistan’s real estate and infrastructure sector,” he emphasised.

The ambassador strongly believed that businessmen are the real leaders who can steer economies towards growth.

At the conference, the UAE was represented by the Ministry of Economy’s Assistant Undersecretary of Intellectual Property Sector, Dr Abdelrahman Hassan Almuaini.

Ambassador Tirmizi said that having more than 60 per cent of its population below the age of 30, Pakistan is a country of about 250 million people that offers immense opportunities for investment in diverse fields.

President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President of Overseas Pakistanis Business Forum and former ambassador of Pakistan, Javed Malik, and other businessmen also spoke on the occasion.
