PTI’s Shafqat Mahmood has said that the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) decision to not allot reserved seats to the Sunni Ittehad Council — the new home of PTI-backed lawmakers — will be remembered as a “dark day in the history of our democracy”.

In a post on X, Mahmood said, “But for PML-N, PPP and other parties to claim seats not won by them is not only immoral but a shameful display of crass political greed beyond vile.”
