PTI has submitted a resolution in the Senate calling for the release of incarcerated party leaders Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi, alleging that they were convicted under “false cases”.

The resolution was submitted by Senator Falak Naz Chitrali.

“Political vendetta has destroyed the country’s economy and reputation,” the resolution read. It also called for the release of Dr Yasmin Rashid, Bushra Bibi and other PTI women, as well as journalists.

It must be noted that the party had submitted a similar resolution in the National Assembly yesterday.
