PTI leader Salman Akram Raja has said the Election Commission of Pakistan’s verdict on the allocation of reserved seats to the Sunni Ittehad Council was “completely unconstitutional”.
Speaking on Geo News programme ‘Capital Talk’, he said that the matter will eventually land before the apex court.
“The Constitution is clear that a political party will get reserved seats based on the proportion of their general seats in the National Assembly […] therefore, the ECP’s decision to give them additional seats is clearly unconstitutional,” he said.
