THATTA: None of the 14 out of 45 fishermen who went missing after their boat capsized near Hajamro Creek in Arabian Sea, 32 nautical miles off the shore near Keti Bunder town on Tuesday could be recovered despite hectic efforts by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, Edhi volunteers and local rescuers, Dawn learnt on Thursday.

Thatta Deputy Commissioner Asad Ali Khan said that the administration was making serious efforts to recover the missing fishermen but none of them, was traceable. “May God may save them but if they have lost their lives, it will take two to three days for the bodies to come to the surface,” he said.
