PLASTIC BAGS

Published March 8, 2024

PLASTIC BAGS: Plastic bags can turn good fertile land into barren land as they can take more than 500 years to fully decompose. Moreover, scientists also believe that plastic bags can cause deadly diseases, such as cancer, birth defects, immune damage and asthma. According to estimates, more than billions of plastic shopping bags are being used in Pakistan, and the use is going up every year by about 15 per cent. It is essential that the government take measures to reduce the use and sale of plastic bags. Moreover, it should create awareness among the people about health risks and loss of fertile land becasue of the use of plastic bags.

CELLULAR SERVICEs: Garouk is a small village in Khuzdar district which is deprived of mobile network facilities. People have to go up the hills to access mobile network or the internet. Even this makes internet browsing impossible. People have requested the government and the local elders to have the issue resolved, but there has been no positive response. The government should install a mobile network tower in the village.
