PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui has said that if elected as the president, Asif Ali Zardari would “maintain democratic traditions” in the country.
Speaking to Radio Pakistan, Siddiqui said, “Zardari sahib has remained the president before and, God-willingly, he will be elected today as well.”
Recalling that Zardari had promoted “democratic traditions” during his tenure, the PML-N senator said that outgoing President Arif Alvi “unfortunately did not leave behind him good traditions”.
