QUETTA: Justice Hashim Khan Kakar took oath on Monday as the acting chief justice of the Balochistan High Court.

He was appointed Acting Chief Justice of BHC after Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan was elevated to the Supreme Court as a judge.

A senior judge of the BHC, Justice Mohammad Ejaz Swati, administered the oath to the acting CJ at a ceremony held at Court No1. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by judges of the Balochistan High Court, registrar and renowned lawyers.
