Newly sworn-in Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has stated that the government would work on the “5E Economic Turnaround” framework constituted in August 2022 so that the country could work towards political stability.

Addressing the media in Islamabad, the PML-N minister said, “If you see any country, political continuity and stability have played a central role there.”

Iqbal then recalled various five-year economic plans, adding: “Our history of the past 50 years was badly impacted by political instability.”

“We will begin our mission to work on it fully,” he said while referring to the 5E framework.
