The incident took place at a multi-story marquee located in the area of Gulberg Greens, they said, adding that three staff members of an elevator company came over to the marquee to repair a lift installed in the building.

All of a sudden, the lift collapsed during the repair work, the police said, adding that as a result, the three labourers sustained injuries, and later they were shifted to a hospital, where one of them, identified as Mohammad Fahad Nadeem, 20, was pronounced dead.
