LAHORE: New Zealand will tour Pakistan next month to play a five-match T20 International series in Rawalpindi and Lahore, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday.

According to the PCB, the Blackcaps after arriving in the capital city on April 14 will play three T20s at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on April 18, 20 and 21 which will be followed by the last two games on April 25 and 27 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

All five matches will begin at 7:00pm Pakistan Standard Time.

Tickets of the series will be available at selected TCS outlets and online at pcb.tcs.com.pk. An announcement regarding the ticket sales will be made in due course.

New Zealand’s upcoming series will mark their third tour to Pakistan in a span of 17 months. They had travelled to Pakistan in December 2022-January 2023 to feature in two Tests and three ODIs. In April 2023, New Zealand travelled to Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi to play 10 white-ball matches against Pakistan.

Usman Wahla, director international cricket, said the upcoming series signifies the affable ties between the two cricket boards.

“In a testament to the unwavering camaraderie between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and New Zealand Cricket (NZC), we are delighted to present the schedule for New Zealand men’s team tour to Pakistan 2024,” he said.

“This tour symbolises the deep-rooted ties and mutual respect that define the relationship between our two cricketing nations.

“Our avid cricket fans and the people of Pakistan will welcome the New Zealand team again and we hope to have yet another competitive series which is a key part of our buildup to this year’s ICC T20 World Cup.”
