DERA GHAZI KHAN: Two residents of Rahim Yar Khan abducted by gangsters operating in the riverine area of Rojhan Mazari, have been found dead.

Sources said victims Ahsan and Shahzad fell prey to a ‘honey trap’ set by the gangsters of Bangla Ichha of Rojhan Mazari.

The ordeal began when Bilal, a resident of Rahim Yar Khan, approached the Rojhan police station to report the abduction of his two employees, skilled in making and installing prepared concrete roofs. Bilal said he received a call from a person named Ghafar on March 5, requesting prepared roofs and a site survey in Rojhan Mazari.

Bilal dispatched Ahsan and Shehzad to Rojhan Mazari with Ghafar, the caller.

However, communication with the three of them ceased abruptly, prompting Bilal to report the disappearance to the authorities.

Rojhan Mazari police registered a first information report against unidentified kidnappers under section 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Rojhan police later disclosed that the gangsters had killed the two labourers when they attempted to flee from the captivity. Their bodies were disposed of in the Indus.

Police have retrieved the bodies from the river. Further investigation is under way.
