Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the Sunni Ittehad Council — the new home of PTI-backed winning candidates — has the right to reserved seats in the national and provincial assemblies.

In an interview with DawnNewsTV, the estranged PML-N leader said, “If they did not submit a list [of the candidates], there is a solution for that as well.

“If they cannot do this either, then leave the [reserved] seats vacant,” Abbasi added.
