KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department and an intelligence agency carried out a joint raid in the Manghopir area and arrested a suspected militant belonging to the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan on Tuesday.

A police spokesperson said in a statement that the held suspect was identified as Wali Rehman.

He was involved in attacks on the army and FC troops in tribal areas in 2004 and 2006 and killed a member of the ‘peace committee’ in 2007, he added. He had fled to Dubai to avoid his arrest.
