QUETTA: Ogra Chairman Masroor Khan on Thursday held out the assurance that issues being faced by consumers in Balochistan about gas supply, low pressure, loadshedding and excessive billing will be resolved on a priority basis.

Addressing a public hearing, he said the complaints against Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd will be placed before the minister of petroleum, and steps will be taken to address them.

Consumers, gas companies officials, and Ogra officers spoke during the public hearing.

The consumers informed the Ogra chief that gas unavailability and low pressure were serious issues in Quetta. On the other hand, new charges have been added to the bills, they lamented.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry representatives also endorsed the consumers’ complaints.
