And the school begins

This is concerning the story “And the school begins” by Ammar Marfani (YW, February 24). I could identify with the writer, when he especially expressed his emotions during the cold winter mornings, when one has to get up early to go to school. It can be very challenging to leave the comfort of one’s bed.

However, I was surprised to read the twist when the writer mentioned that all the cold is forgotten once you see your school friends.

Undoubtedly, school life is the best time, and our friends make our lives so special.

The story, “And the school begins” by Ammar Marfan was truly awesome. There is no doubt that getting up early in the morning in winter itself is a big challenge.

And when it comes after vacation, it becomes even more difficult to handle. But it is also true that seeing your friends after a long gap is a joy in itself and you just forget about the challenges of cold and embrace the warmth of friendship and company.

First aid skills that make a difference

This is regarding the cover article “First aid skills that make a difference” by Benazir Raz (YW, February 24).

The topic of the article is rarely talked about, although everyone needs to know how to apply first aid. We often encounter mishaps at home like burns or cuts for which we use basic first aid; however, having little or no knowledge often leads to making things worse.

The article highlighted all the very common mishaps that we often come across in our daily lives at school, at home, or in the play area outdoors and what can be done during those times.

The article was very informative and a must-read for everyone to know the basic first-aid tips.

I’m glad that YW has finally covered an important topic, “First aid skills that make a difference” by Benazir Raz, especially for kids.

The article presents first aid in a way that children can understand and learn easily to take care of themselves or others in need. Children must learn basic first aid skills so they can help themselves and others when needed.

This article serves as a valuable resource, empowering children to respond effectively in unexpected situations and potentially save lives.
