LAHORE, March 9: M.A.O College Old Boys, Lahore, Pak PWD, Karachi, Mitchell Club, Okara and Gojra Sports entered semifinals of the national Inter-club hockey championship on Wednesday.

On the last day of league matches, five matches were played.

Three goals each by Qamar and Adnan Hamid helped Mehran Club, Hyderabad beat Islamabad Tigers 8-1. Salim and Aamir added one goal each.

Gulraiz scored the lone goal for the losers. Olympics Village, Gojra, beat Young Hockey Club, Gowadar, 2-0.

Mohammad Shahbaz and Sohail Abbas scored a goal each.

AJK Club beat Kashmir Club, Peshawar, 6-0. Farooq Arshad scored three while Waqas Anwar, Zubair Ahmad and Sohrab Aslam added one goal each. Pak PWD beat Ayub Club Kohat 4-2.

Atif Mir scored two while M Yousaf and Iftikhar Ahmed one goal each. For the losers, Mudasar and Junaid scored one goal each.

MAO College Old Boys beat Naeem Club 4-1. Shafqat Rasool (2) and Yasir and Rizwanul Haq one goal each were the scorers for the winners. Asad Naeem scored the solitary goal of the losers.
