Egyptian foreign ministry has said Sameh Shoukry and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian emphasised the need for Israel to commit to implementing a ceasefire in Gaza as required by the recent UN Security Council resolution.
According to Al Jazeera, in a phone call, the two ministers said their governments reject the forced displacement of Palestinians outside the Gaza Strip and any ground assault on the southern city of Rafah.
