LAHORE, March 13: Except for top seed Aisamul Haq and a junior player, Usman Ijaz, the other six probables reported to the national tennis training camp on the first day at the Bagh-i-Jinnah courts on Monday.

The camp has been set up to prepare Pakistan team for Davis Cup Group-I tie against arch-rivals India to be held in Mumbai from April 7 to 9.

Rashid Malik, non-playing captain and former Davis Cupper, said that Aisam would join the camp on March 27.

Aqeel Khan, Aasim Shafik, Jalil Khan with three juniors Tanvir Aashiq, Omar Babar and Khurram Nazir reported to the camp. Rashid while commenting on the prospect of Pakistan against India, said his team had 30 per cent chance of victory.

He said all depends on the physical condition of Aisam for the tough competition and if he wins two matches the chances for victory would be bright as Aqeel had the skill to win one match.

Rashid said India had better ranked players and they always emerged as winners against Pakistan in the past. He said on first day a light training session was held in the training camp.
