TOTALLY UNFAIR: Recently, I applied for the position of coordinator at the National Testing Service (NTS) in Islamabad. The advertisement had explicitly stated that no prior experience was necessary for the position. The only specified requirement on the NTS portal was proficiency in Microsoft Office. Consequently, I paid the fee and submitted my application. However, to my dismay, I received a notification from the NTS, stating that I was ineligible due to “lack of experience”. This has left me extremely disappointed becasue the advertisement was a clear attmept at encouraging people to submit the application fee. As such, I am seeking a refund of the fee I had submitted, and the relevant authorities should intervene.

PUBLIC-SECTOR UNIVERSITY: Sialkot, which is famous for its sports and surgical goods, lags behind other cities in terms of education opportunities. There are a few private universities and only one public-sector university in the city. These universities offer limited educational fields, resources and opportunities for the students. Moreover, many students cannot afford the fees of private universities, and are compelled to migrate to other cities for better education. Many leave their studies. The government must address the issue.

HUB BRIDGE: The Hub Bridge was destroyed by floods in August 2022. Transporters and traders have been badly affected in the region since then because goods cannot be supplied to a large number of cities and towns. Life in general has remained seriously disturbed all this while, but not much has been done to rectify the situation. Some reconstruction work was initiated a little while ago, but that has now come to a standstill due to recent intermittent rain spells in the province. The reconstruction work should be expe- dited as the bridge connects the whole Balochistan province with Karachi.
